The HD Carbon Extension features an outside diameter of 32.5 ± 0.1 mm, designed to fit standard RDM mast inner diameters of 32.8–33.2 mm. If you are unsure about your mast, please check that it has an inner diameter of at least 32.8 mm and that this diameter is consistent over at least 45 cm from the bottom.
The slightly increased diameter of 32.5 mm (compared to the usual 31.5–32 mm) reduces play inside the mast, preventing point loads and rotating the load‑bearing holes by 90°, so they run lengthwise instead of across. This design alone makes the extension up to 87% stronger – without adding weight.
