Having spent my early childhood watching my father windsurfing the Bavarian lakes near my hometown, my own obsession with wind and boards started in 1998. Since then there has been hardly a day on which I did not at least check the conditions.
When I was windsurfing the coast of Fuerteventura in 2007 it was Bouke who came to my rescue. And since then has changed my experience of windsurfing altogether. I had never been the one to go soft on my boards, thus broken equipment and worn out gear had become constant companions. Being left far away from home with the amazing wind and my board utterly destroyed, I was about to lose heart, when locals told me about Bouke’s custom shop. His promise to supply me with immortal boards has since then not been broken.
